Ken Thomas has an led a very interesting life.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, he had a solid junior tennis career and accepted a full tennis scholarship to the University of Wisconsin. He was a three-time All Big Ten Selection and won the Big Ten Singles title in 1978 and was a Big Ten Finalist in 1980. He then played professional satellite tournaments throughout the United States, Canada, Germany and France.
When his tennis dreams came to end, he then entered the world of advertising where he worked for some of the biggest advertising agencies in the world. After fifteen years in the agency business, he went over to the client side and joined Lexus Automobiles USA as their National Advertising Manager. He was instrumental in building the Lexus brand and launching the Lexus Division in the United States.
After twenty years with Lexus, he then launched RadioTennis.com which live audio streams professional and top-level tennis from around the world. RadioTennis.com is considered the industry leader in the field of live audio broadcasting of tennis.
Ken keeps a very busy schedule these days. RadioTennis.com keeps him on the road about twenty-five weeks a year and he also is the voice of the United States Tennis Association’s – Women’s Pro Circuit.
It’s not often you find a guy who has played tennis at an extremely high level, launched a major automotive brand and then launched his own global tennis broadcasting company, but that’s Ken Thomas.
